About the 『峠』's letter.～～～
This 『峠』means 'Pass' and 'turning point(sickness, illness).
And, 『峠』is not '漢字’.
'漢字’( Kanji ) is chinese character.
『峠』 (Touge,Toge ) is ' 国字 '.
' 国字 ' ( Kokuji ) is so, Made in Japan.
Long ago ,Japan's people made this letter '峠'.
山 is equal to English ' Mountain.'
上 is equal to English ' Top.'
下 is equal to English ' Below, Under, Inferior, Down, Downwards ' etc.
